Così commenta Bruce Lee Gallanter, di Downtown Music Gallery: "In many ways, this disc is a long lost gem of late seventies British jazz/rock at its best with no cliches or obvious direction involved. Each piece does a great job of evoking a certain apprehensive or sleazy vibe that was very much a part of what NYC was and sometimes still is about. Sometimes Mr. Downes has an odd sense of humor which is something you really need to deal with the unexpected things that occur in our fair (unfair?) city. And I should know since I deal with it almost every day".
