After creating over 400 brilliant albums and hundreds of music videos from his own bedroom studio, lo-fi luminary R. Stevie Moore is on an unstoppable tour of the U.S. and Europe backed by bad boy Brooklyn band Tropical Ooze. Together, they’ve whittled down a solid set list from 1,000s of songs to deliver a stunning live show that’s as eclectic and unpredictable as the artist’s career. This last year has brought much deserved attention to the once reclusive artist. R. Stevie Moore has hit the cover of UK music mag, The Wire, for their June issue. He’s also recorded a duet EP with weird-pop superstar Ariel Pink titled Klu Klux Glam, which they will be performing together this summer in Europe. The “godfather of DIY” was always ahead of his time, and the world is finally catching up: bringing long overdue recognition to this singular, unapologetic giant of music.
